What You Will Do As an

Inpatient Medical Coder , you will apply appropriate state ICD-10 and PCS procedure codes as defined for the service type, for coding, billing, internal and external reporting, research as required, and regulatory compliance. You will review clinical documentation and conduct comprehensive chart review as appropriate to extract data and apply the correct ICD-10 and PCS codes, in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Need

High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be a US Citizen

2 years Inpatient medical coding experience

CPC, CCS, RHIT or RHIA Certification

Willingness to undergo a Federal Background check

What Would Be Nice To Have

Experience with systems such as EPIC, Cerner, Next Gen, Allscripts or other EHRs

Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology

Experience with Coding clinics ICD-10-CM and PCS

Willingness to maintain professional credentials at all times

Associates Degree
