As an
Analyst at The Brydon Group , you will play a key role in our firm's deal origination strategy, working closely with Managing Partners, the Director of Business Development, and CEOs-in-Residence (CIRs) to identify, qualify, and advance investment opportunities. This position requires a combination of relationship management, analytical thinking, and process optimization skills. You will be expected to uphold the highest values while consistently delivering impact in a fast-paced environment. Your day-to-day will focus on 3 primary areas: (1) deal origination, (2) best practices training, and (3) sourcing technology and operations. Across all of these you will own processes and be responsible for final end products. You will develop an understanding of key priorities and be proactive and creative in driving priorities to successful completion, anticipating and initiating required next steps. Over time, you will identify additional ways to leverage time and broaden the scope of your role, taking on additional special projects. This role is a critical member of the team and will have ample opportunity for professional development and growth. Core Responsibilities
Deal Origination: You will support drafting, supporting, and independently executing outreach to North American intermediaries (Investment Banks, CPA Firms, Law Firms, M&A Advisory Firms) for efforts including: Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with investment bankers through regular outreach campaigns, implementing and managing a tiered banker coverage strategy (Tier 1/2/3) based on defined criteria Deal Platform Management: Manage digital deal flow through websites, aggregators, and other platforms such as Dealstream, Kumo, BizBuySell, etc. Database & Organic Growth: Identify and recommend new brokers/banks to add to distribution lists, particularly vertical banker relationship building in niche industries (e.g., insurance, podiatry) Best Practices Training: Refine existing sales training programs for CIRs, sourcing interns, and ongoing refreshers; work with Hubspot consultants to optimize systems for outbound activities; develop and share best practice campaigns; prepare and maintain refreshed training materials for interns and new team members Sourcing Technology & Operations: Act as internal lead of Brydon's sales and marketing technology stack, including CRM, outreach tools, and database vendors; manage outsourced list building teams and ensure data hygiene; research and recommend new databases, technologies, and strategies to enhance sourcing capabilities; analyze campaign performance data and improve email copy and outreach strategies to meet funnel metrics; collaborate with the Director of Business Development to lead all aspects of the intern program (recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and day-to-day management) Requirements
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in a business-related field (e.g., marketing, sales, economics, finance, accounting, management) New graduates welcome, though 1-2 years of professional experience in a professional services environment preferred (e.g., finance, private equity, consulting, marketing, communications, executive search, event management, etc.) Superior written communication skills (emails, memos, short powerpoint documents) Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including small business CEOs and external Brydon partners (vendors, brokers, etc.) Outstanding time management, organization, and decision-making skills with consistent attention to detail Demonstrated ability to multi-task across high-priority initiatives running in parallel Familiarity with professional social media and sales engagement platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, HubSpot, Grata) Dedicated work ethic and commitment to enhancing the team Motivated self-starter with ability to work well in an unstructured environment Entrepreneurial attitude and desire to work for a dynamic and successful organization Location
This role is in-person and on-site at our Washington, D.C. office Benefits
This is a full-time salaried position; compensation will be commensurate with experience and is expected to range between $60,000 and $80,000. Brydon employees are eligible for paid holidays, health insurance, and 401(k) retirement benefits
