Redwood City, SFOWork mode: 3 days from Office About the Role We are seeking an experienced Oracle RAC Architect to design, implement, and maintain high-availability database solutions using Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC). The ideal candidate will lead complex database architecture initiatives and provide technical leadership in a mission-critical environment. What You’ll Be Doing
Design and implement Oracle RAC, Oracle Exadata architectures that ensure high availability, scalability, and optimal performance across multiple nodes and clusters Develop technical specifications, architectural diagrams, and documentation for Oracle RAC implementations and migrations Lead capacity planning initiatives and provide recommendations for hardware and software requirements Establish best practices for Oracle RAC, Exadata administration, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery procedures Mentor and provide technical guidance to database administrators and development teams Perform complex troubleshooting of RAC-related issues and implement preventive measures Create and maintain automation scripts for RAC deployment, maintenance, and monitoring Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database architectures align with business requirements Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning of RAC environments Lead database upgrade and migration projects while ensuring minimal downtime Why Join Us

Minimum 12 years of experience as an Oracle Database Administrator with at least 5 years of hands-on Oracle RAC experience Oracle Certified Master (OCM) or equivalent advanced Oracle certifications Expert knowledge of Oracle RAC 12c/19c/21c architecture, Grid Infrastructure, and ASM Strong experience with Oracle Data Guard, Golden Gate, and other high availability solutions Proven experience in performance tuning, backup and recovery, and disaster recovery planning Advanced knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting Experience with automation tools and infrastructure as code principles Strong understanding of storage systems, networking, and cluster technologies Technical Experience in the following areas: Oracle RAC 12c/19c/21c; Grid Infrastructure and ASM; Oracle Data Guard; Oracle GoldenGate; Oracle Exadata; Linux/Unix Administration; Shell Scripting (Bash, Python); SQL and PL/SQL; Network and Storage Technologies; Infrastructure Automation Tools; Performance Monitoring and Tuning Tools; DB migration Tools – XTTS, Golden Gate, AWS DMS, SCT, Datapump, Backup restore methods Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, OCI) and cloud-based RAC deployments and migrations, specifically on AWS Knowledge of container technologies and microservices architectures Experience with monitoring tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager, Prometheus, or Grafana Background in implementing Oracle Exadata or other engineered systems Experience with database security and compliance requirements Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines Education
