Regional Director, State & Local Public Affairs

The Regional Director of State & Local Public Affairs is responsible for strengthening CLEAR’s corporate reputation and brand awareness at the state and local level. Located in Austin, TX, this individual will develop and execute public affairs strategies to tell CLEAR’s story to elected officials, community partners, local opinion leaders, and members in Austin and other key markets across several states in our South region. This role is based in Austin and may require travel up to 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

Work cross-functionally with Public Affairs, Aviation, Marketing and Communications, and CLEAR1 teams to develop and execute creative public affairs campaigns that advance CLEAR's business objectives and maximize assets and resources

Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in government, business, and other areas; educate stakeholders on CLEAR’s mission and growth

Monitor relevant legislative activity in several state and local legislatures, and ensure CLEAR’s perspective is represented

Develop and execute plans to manage public policy and political challenges in select markets

Identify, develop and manage strategic community partnerships in select markets

Represent the company at events, legislative hearings, and stakeholder meetings as needed

Manage vendors and political consultants in select markets

Travel up to 50% of the time

Stakeholder Engagement: Track the quality of relationships built and maintained with key government, business, and community stakeholders within the South region

Policy and Advocacy Impact: Evaluate success in navigating and influencing public policy, evidenced by positive outcomes in legislation, regulatory actions, and community responses in priority areas

Community Partnership Growth: Measure the establishment and effectiveness of strategic community partnerships, including alignment with CLEAR’s business objectives

The base salary range for this role is $175,000-$205,000, depending on levels of skills and experience. The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries may vary based on location, education, skills, experience and performance. Total compensation may include bonuses, equity components, and other rewards.
