Senior Strategy Specialist – Boeing
Boeing AvionX is seeking a Senior Strategy Specialist to join the AvionX Business Development & Strategy Team in Seattle, WA; Plano, TX or Berkeley, MO. AvionX BD & Strategy defines key areas of investment to deliver value to customers and partners with Boeing Business Unit stakeholders. This role will understand AvionX capabilities, value proposition, and competitive position, and how technologies can deliver value to the business units to win in the market.
Position Responsibilities
Analyze AvionX’s position in the broader avionics market and provide analysis on potential future scenarios and options to achieve AvionX goals. Integrate with key business unit stakeholders across BCA, BDS, and BGS to gain alignment on market needs and opportunities for AvionX. Prepare and facilitate monthly AvionX LT strategic business reviews on high priority areas of need. Identify and understand key stakeholder relationships within the enterprise and develop plans to nurture and position the relationship to meet AvionX objectives. Translate customer needs to AvionX capabilities and pathways to delivering value to the BU. Understand avionics industry trends and impact to AvionX with strategies to leverage advantages or negate disadvantages as needed. Provide assistance with proposal reviews related to strategic alignment proposition. Partner with and influence investment of BTI organization to understand areas of technology development that AvionX may be able to leverage for future products. Partner with BTI, BDS, BCA, and BGS to help align AvionX investments with Boeing’s long term strategy. Work with AvionX and stakeholder partners on technology and product roadmap development to align investments with future market needs. Partner with internal stakeholders on LRBP development to ensure investment portfolio aligns with AvionX strategy. Understand product positioning and market substitutes in terms of competitive features and market pricing. Conduct competitive analysis and track competitive moves on AvionX products and their impact on market share and pricing. Provide market insight and actively participate in AvionX product development studies. Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree or higher 5+ years of aviation company and/or airline experience 5+ years of relevant aircraft component system product knowledge 3+ years of experience leading and advancing projects in ambiguous environments 2+ years of experience preparing and presenting succinctly to executives, senior leadership, and external customers 1+ years of experience critically thinking through hypothesis-driven approaches and performing quantitative analysis on value propositions Preferred Qualifications (Desired)
A strong team player who has the initiative and ability to embrace leadership roles when opportunities arise Experience in strategy development Strong analytic skills with experience using qualitative and quantitative data to develop product, business and services strategies Other Details
