Accounting Senior Manager - Japanese Bilingual

Overview
Position: Accounting Senior Manager Location: Honolulu, Hawaii (Onsite) Department: Accounting Employment Type: Full Time, Exempt Salary: $90k-120k Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, AD&D, LTD, FSA, 401k with matching, Vacation, Sick Leave, etc. This position is responsible for managing many aspects of accounting-related duties for the Company and for making recommendations to Senior management. Responsibilities
Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation. Manage incoming and outgoing cash on a daily basis and perform monthly bank reconciliations; verify cash at hand and cash at bank. Develop strategies to optimize the company’s cash position. Assist with the compilation of information for various tax returns, including corporate tax, sales tax, and Form 1099. Involve in the budgeting process and prepare the annual budget draft. Collaborate with external and internal auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance. Ensure proper hierarchy and scalability in the chart of accounts and accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements; oversee classification and booking of all transactions. Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and study regulations to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure company policies and procedures are followed; establish techniques to improve efficiency and to prevent fraud. Review and oversee subordinates including accounts payable and accounts receivable teams; recruit and hire accounting staff and conduct performance evaluations; coordinate training and identify training needs. Qualifications
5+ years of accounting management experience 3+ years of financial reporting and analysis experience 2+ years of finance/accounting experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) strongly preferred Education
BS degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred Skills and Attributes
Strong sense of responsibility for duties; solid understanding of US GAAP Ability to gather, analyze and interpret facts, raise questions, and exercise sound judgment Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot, SUMIF, IFERROR, DSUM) Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 highly preferred; ERP implementation experience a plus Excellent verbal and written communication skills Detail oriented, analytical, results-driven; able to work under tight deadlines Strong ability to collaborate with staff at all levels to resolve problems Physical Requirements
Ability to talk and hear regularly; ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with arms Occasionally lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 20 pounds Ability to read and analyze information on a computer screen; close and peripheral vision and depth perception Working Conditions
Work in an environment with moderate noise level May be required to work overtime Notes
