Overview

Analyst, Deployment Optimization at Carnival Cruise Line shapes fleet deployment strategies across more than 1,800 annual cruises. This role optimizes homeports, itineraries, and cruise durations to maximize Itinerary Gross Profit (IGP) aligned with financial and guest experience goals. Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth analysis of revenue, cost, and competitive data to support deployment planning. Develop Tableau dashboards and Excel models to visualize deployment performance and support decision-making. Use SQL and SAS to extract and manipulate large datasets for scenario modeling and performance evaluation. Collaborate with Revenue Management, Marine Operations, and Hotel Services to align deployment strategies with business objectives. Prepare clear, data-driven presentations and reports to support senior leadership decision-making. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Collaborates with Shoreside and Shipboard teams; capable of handling complex analyses of large data sets from diverse sources. Anticipates seasonal demand shifts, port constraints, and competitive dynamics; understands how decisions impact multiple stakeholders and metrics. Proficient in SQL, SAS, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Tableau; strong data storytelling and cross-functional influence. Role has impact across many functional teams; no direct reports; strong collaboration and stakeholder alignment skills. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree a plus. 3+ years of experience in strategy, analytics, or operations, preferably in travel, transportation, or consulting. Preferred: Experience with cruise industry data, port operations, or itinerary planning tools; strong business acumen and excellent communication and presentation skills. Work Details

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods. Travel: None or very little travel. Work Conditions: In-office role based in South Florida; occasional flexibility for location). Location & Work Arrangement

This position is in-office in the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. Employees are expected to work from a Carnival office in South Florida Tuesday through Thursday, with Monday and Friday work-from-home options. Compensation & Benefits
