Manager 2, Manufacturing Engineering

to join the Operations Engineering Leadership Team. Responsibilities

Lead a team that facilitates the manufacture of CCA\’s and Next Higher Assemblies (NHA\’s) in the SALT (Space Auto-line Technology) and SMT (Surface Mount Technology) manufacturing cells. Provide functional management responsibilities and oversee direct report work on projects developing or maintaining Manufacturing Processes within SMT and SALT, delivering superior customer satisfaction. Serve as the process owner for SMT and SALT Product & Process development, including producibility, affordability, quality, technology roadmaps, and related activities. Brief upper management, project management, and customers on process technology, product issue resolution, personnel development plans, and organizational progress. Collaborate with area management, subject matter experts, suppliers, and others to troubleshoot and solve issues related to SMT and SALT production. Support Manufacturing Process development, including producibility, affordability, quality, technology roadmaps, and related activities. Coordinate with manufacturing team members to clarify quotations and deliverables and promote knowledge transfer. Support planning and coordination of capital equipment and process development projects and budgets. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing, management, and project management (or 7+ years with MS degree). Experience in development of electronic products or mechanical assemblies and manufacturing processes. Prior program, people, or project management or leadership experience. Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. US Citizenship. Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM field. Experience with microelectronics manufacturing or detailed design experience. Experience as a Process or Project Lead. Experience with radar products and components. Manufacturing Engineering Management experience. Knowledge of surface mount technology and related processes. Familiarity with J-STD, MIL-STD and Space class hardware requirements. Manufacturing engineering experience including process control and control plan development. Six Sigma Black belt/Green belt certification from an accredited program. Direct career experience working in a represented manufacturing workforce environment. Primary Level Salary Range: $123,400.00 - $185,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers many factors when determining base salary offers, including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward contributions and allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
