to our Chicago team in their fast growing, dynamic finance and accounting department. Summary: This
Staff Accountant
role offers an exceptional opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to drive financial excellence within Revolution\'s fast-growing, purpose-driven organization that\'s reshaping how people access high-quality cannabis while uplifting communities. As a key member of our finance team, you\'ll take ownership of accounting operations for an assigned business unit, working collaboratively across the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented candidate with 4+ years of progressive experience who thrives in a rapidly evolving environment and wants to contribute to a company that values both financial integrity and social responsibility. You\'ll have the opportunity to streamline processes, support strategic decision-making through variance analysis, and play a crucial role in our continued expansion while working in a hybrid environment (2 days in office) that promotes work-life balance. Essential Functions: Represent Revolution’s core values: Community, Accountability, Evolutionary, Excellence (CARE) Accountable for full-cycle accounting for the assigned business unit, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash and sales reconciliations, pre-paid and fixed asset schedules, amortization and accruals Follow a monthly/quarterly close schedule with timely tasks to ensure financial statements are issued on time Maintain support schedules and seek efficiencies in current processes Assist in compliance requirements such as sales and cultivation tax returns Liaise with business unit leaders to reconcile, research and resolve accounting items Analyze variances in budget to actual reporting and report regularly Support year-end audit and tax process Manage ad hoc projects as assigned by the Controller 4+ years of progressive accounting experience with the ability to articulate actions taken to build skill set Understanding of consolidation for a multi-entity business with various structures Comfortable in a fast-growing, changing environment Operate with professionalism and integrity, including handling confidential information Position requires occasional overtime and 2 days in office per week Required or Preferred Skills, Abilities, Licensures and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or active CPA candidate Advanced Excel and data management skills (pivot tables, V-lookup) with examples Experience with an ERP (ideally Microsoft Navision) and knowledge of data structure and reporting capabilities Office suite proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Additional Requirements: Must be at least 21 years old Must possess valid state ID Must comply with legal or company regulations for working in the industry Must pass required background checks and maintain good standing Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: Must have the ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation Vision requirements to read and view computer screens and small parts/details Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers and vendors Frequent sitting, standing and walking; may involve stairs, inclines and uneven terrain Work Schedule: 40+ hours weekly with flexible hours depending on department needs Revolution is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
