specific dates Collaborating with a hospital less than 30 minutes from Phoenix, Arizona, with an opening for a Pediatric Surgeon to provide locum coverage. Opening Overview: Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p in clinic 24-hour inpatient call with in-house rounding Setting: Outpatient and inpatient Will cover trauma cases EMR: Cerner Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses During your time off, float above the desert in a sunrise hot air balloon ride, hike in the Superstition Mountains, and enjoy a close proximity to downtown Phoenix. If you are interested in learning more about this opening, please apply Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Active unencumbered Pediatric Surgeon Arizona state license Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program One year of work experience as Pediatric Surgeon One year of EMR experience Board Certified Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
