Howard Brown Health (HBH) seeks a visionary and forward-thinking physician executive to serve as its next Chief Medical Officer (CMO). This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of care delivery, advance health equity, and drive meaningful change in a dynamic city. HBH recently celebrated its 50th anniversary. The CMO will be pivotal in developing HBH's next chapter, driving innovation, elevating patient outcomes, and creating lasting impact for the diverse communities served. Howard Brown Health is a federally qualified health center that cares for more than 38,000 adults and youth each year across seven sites in Chicago. HBH provides healthcare for all regardless of age, race, sexual identity, or ability to pay.
Responsibilities and expectations Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CMO will provide strategic vision and clinical leadership for all medical services across HBH and its affiliate clinics. The CMO will set the strategic direction, policies, and goals for clinical services in alignment with HBH's mission and long-term priorities, ensuring that evidence-based clinical protocols are implemented and continuously optimized. This leader will work to ensure transparency and collaboration, leveraging strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills to guide multidisciplinary clinical environments and primary care programs.
Qualifications
Physician with deep understanding of and experience in primary care and multidisciplinary clinical environments.
Strong communication, leadership, and relationship skills to ensure transparency and collaboration.
Compensation The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $300,000-$350,000 annually, commensurate with the successful candidate's experience. Final determination of starting pay will vary based on credentials and experience within the industry.
