Clinical Director
is responsible for leading and managing the department's operations and resources to achieve both departmental and organizational goals. This role ensures high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and efficient use of resources while fostering a culture of professional growth and excellence in clinical practice.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement departmental goals, plans, and standards aligned with the organizations objectives and ethical standards. Oversee departmental operations, including patient care delivery, service level determination, and compliance management, to ensure quality and performance objectives are met. Manage staffing activities, including recruitment, orientation, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and continuing education programs. Prepare, monitor, and evaluate departmental budgets to ensure operations remain within allocated funding. Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits to maintain regulatory compliance. Create an environment that promotes professional development and growth among team members. Integrate evidence-based practices into departmental operations and clinical protocols to enhance patient outcomes. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required. Masters degree preferred. Licensure:
Active RN license in the state of employment. Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in a clinical leadership role. Skills:
Strong leadership, strategic planning, and budgeting capabilities. Preferred Certification
Nurse Executive Certification (NE-BC or NEA-BC) or equivalent healthcare leadership certification. Must-Haves
Bachelors degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration (Masters degree preferred). Active RN license in the state of employment. Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a clinical setting. Strong expertise in department budgeting, staffing, and operational planning. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and clinical protocols. Nice-To-Haves
Certification in healthcare leadership or clinical specialties (e.g., Nurse Executive Certification NE-BC or NEA-BC).
