Overview
Danbury Hospital, affiliated with Nuvance Health, is seeking a full-time Night Physician Assistant Hospitalist for Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. Shifts are variable nights, 8 PM – 8 AM. Work in a collegial environment with experienced physicians and physician assistants in a community hospital in a family-friendly location about 80 miles from NYC. You will have the opportunity to work independently but alongside physicians in Hospitalist Medicine. Job Summary Under the supervision of a physician, provides primary medical care to patients to assist in their recovery from acute illnesses and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and graduate of an approved Physician Assistant (PA) program.
CT State PA license, DEA/State of CT controlled substances registration.
Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
ACLS & BLS certification.
Must maintain 50 CME hours over two years.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred: prior PA Hospitalist experience, but new grads with inpatient Internal Medicine experience are encouraged to apply.
Able to work a variable block night schedule, 8 PM – 8 AM (12-hour shifts) about 14 shifts per month (including 2 weekends per month).
