Overview

Solution Architect, Partner Solution Architect role focusing on owning the technical engagement, driving customer success, and developing deep expertise on the AWS technology stack. Plan customers’ cloud journeys, solve complex technical challenges, and craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures. Drive technical solution discussions with customer teams and build relationships to understand customers and partners as a trusted technical advisor who aligns short-term technology decisions with long-term goals. Act as a thought leader in the wider community, educating others, sharing best practices, presenting at events, and contributing to white papers, blogs, and workshops. Influence product direction by gathering customer feedback and collaborating with engineering and service teams. Watch this video to learn more about being a Solution Architect at AWS. Key job responsibilities Be a subject matter expert on AWS storage services for Account teams and customers. Represent the voice of the customer; bring customer feedback to product teams to influence feature development and future product roadmap. Provide advanced technical knowledge to unblock customers’ largest and most critical business challenges. Deploy storage and data strategies with the required technical depth and business experience. Act as a thought leader, sharing best practices through forums such as AWS blogs, whitepapers, reference architectures, and public-speaking events (e.g., AWS Summit, AWS re:Invent). Partner with Sales Specialist teams to define the technical components of GTM concepts, solutions, and initiatives. Develop and support an internal AWS community of technical subject matter experts worldwide. Create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help them understand how to integrate AWS solutions into customer architectures. About the team

Bachelor’s degree Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures 10+ years of experience in specific technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) Background in roles such as Technology Architect, Consultant, Cloud Architect, Technical Lead, Software Developer, Engineering Lead, Sales Engineer, Pre-Sales Engineer, or Systems Engineer Experience and/or deep understanding in one or more technology areas with knowledge across multiple domains; ability to articulate architectural patterns and design principles Ability to create proof of concepts, demos, and/or scripts from scratch or with reusable components; lead complex technical projects with cross-team collaboration Ability to create technical content that is easily adopted and reusable by others Preferred Qualifications

Experience in IT development or implementation/consulting in software or internet industries Experience architecting, migrating, or transforming customer requirements to the cloud; professional experience with AWS or other cloud technologies One or more AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Associate); ability to present to technical and business audiences (training, workshops, publications) 10+ years’ experience as a Solution Architect or related role; bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
