Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential. We are seeking a seasoned accounting leader to oversee SEC reporting and technical accounting functions as part of a global finance team. This role will take ownership of ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of all external financial reporting, maintaining compliance with SEC regulations, and upholding a robust internal control environment in alignment with SOX requirements. The Senior Manager will play a key role in guiding technical accounting matters, supporting cross-functional partners, and mentoring a high-performing team. Responsibilities

Lead the SEC reporting and technical accounting team in drafting and filing all required financial documents and SEC filings, including Form 10-Q, Form 10-K, Proxy statements, and other registration statements. Monitor, assess, and implement new accounting standards and SEC regulations, ensuring timely adoption and accurate reporting. Oversee preparation of consolidated financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, stockholders’ equity, EPS calculations, share-based compensation, and M&A accounting. Partner with Investor Relations to support quarterly earnings materials, investor presentations, and other ad hoc deliverables. Serve as primary liaison with external auditors, managing annual audits and quarterly reviews. Provide technical accounting guidance to finance and business teams, including the development of reference tools and training to clarify accounting implications of routine and complex transactions. Lead technical accounting projects, including establishing and updating accounting policies, supporting corporate development and FP&A on M&A activities, and managing other special projects as needed. Deliver presentations to senior leadership and the audit committee on technical accounting matters and SOX compliance. Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and technical expertise. Qualifications

10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in public accounting combined with direct experience in SEC reporting and technical accounting for a public company. Proven experience collaborating with finance, FP&A, legal, and investor relations teams on external reporting and related matters. Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, SOX requirements, EPS, share-based compensation, and business combinations. Demonstrated leadership and team management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with confidence working across all levels of management. Analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to interpret complex accounting matters. Prior experience in a public company environment with SOX compliance requirements.
