Springs Rescue Mission (SRM) considers every position one of ministry and a vital and valued part of our team. The Director of Community Engagement - East at Springs Rescue Mission holds a pivotal role within our ministry-oriented team. In this role within the Advancement/Development team, you will spearhead the cultivation and stewardship of relationships with partners, donors, and local business partnerships east of Academy Blvd. with a focus on churches, civic groups, local businesses, and outreach partnerships. This involves employing various communication channels such as phone calls, emails, meetings, letters, and tours to ensure a robust and engaged donor and partner portfolio with initial goals of achieving 500+ new donors, 50+ new monthly donors, and 25+ upgrades to major donors throughout/over twelve month measuring period. In addition, this role will lead 10 volunteer ambassadors to multiply SRM’s story. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to contribute significantly to the success of Springs Rescue Mission by fostering meaningful connections and orchestrating impactful events that resonate with our donors and support our mission. Responsibilities

Proactively recruit and cultivate a portfolio of churches, civic groups, local business partners, and outreach partnerships to meet outlined goals. Build relationships with those partners/donors to ascertain their interests in the ministry. Communicate with them, acknowledge their giving, and invite them to tours, and special events on a regular basis Develop and execute a comprehensive community outreach plan, in-line with SRM’s community relations strategy, to increase awareness and drive engagement with a variety of key audiences. The plan should include specific strategies to reach different audience segments with appropriate and tailored activities. Act as point of contact for church, business communities, and non-profits within your territory Develop and manage division Community Outreach aspects of annual Community Relations budget Utilize email, phone, and personal visits to connect these business partners and potential donors to SRM. Develop plans and processes to help gain new donors within the business community territory Maintains and updates donor database as applicable Manages time well to ensure appropriate relationship connection today and event planning for the future Learns about SRM programs and effectively communicates the mission to those business partners and donors and be responsive to inquiries regarding them Successfully recruits and leads volunteer ambassadors to share SRM’s story Effectively coordinates with Volunteer Engagement department as appropriate Collaborates with Manager of Community Engagement – West and Director of Business Engagement and Events to unify strategy citywide Researches, identifies, and refers high-capacity donors to appropriate giving Director and/or VP of Advancement May require evening or weekend work to ensure optimal connection with business partners/ donors Some travel may be required to connect with business partners/donors and attend events Attends all required meetings and reviews SRM emails regularly Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. In this role, you may be required to drive on behalf of Springs Rescue Mission utilizing SRM company vehicle and/or your personal vehicle. In accordance with that, a valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance and/or clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years is required. To ensure the safety of our employees and compliance with state and federal law, SRM utilizes ongoing Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) monitoring where MVR reports may be run randomly to ensure you have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record if utilized as driver. Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in communication/marketing or a related field preferred Demonstrates a proficiency in building relationships Exhibit strong phone skills: warm tone, good speaking cadence, clear and articulate 3 years’ experience in customer service, events, sales, or marketing Skills And Qualifications

Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a constant witness. Attends church weekly and abides by biblical principles with life choices. Christ-centered and compassionate attitude in dealing with people including the homeless and faithfully upholds and exemplifies SRM’s Statement of Faith Enthusiastic, and positive attitude, strong knowledge of social media and other basic marketing platforms Consistently conducts self in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner. Dresses appropriately for the environment and occasions. Outgoing and enthusiastic person with a high interest in helping others. Strong customer service skills: able to address inquiries, provide information and engage donors in a cheerful and professional manner clearly, and personably. Great phone skills. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Good problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills. Appropriate grammar for composing business correspondence and editing collateral materials Computer literate, with working knowledge of Word, Excel spreadsheets, Google sheets, internet, contact management database, and email Must be discrete and maintain confidentiality at all times. Working Conditions/Physical Factors

Occasionally = 1%-33%; frequently = 34%-66%; continuously = 67%-100%. Typical office or remote working environment with work environment occasionally falling outside of normal office environment, depending on event or work items. May also work outdoors, potentially in inclement weather, and nights or weekends as needed. Must have the ability to travel, generally within the state of Colorado. Occasionally: must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, standing, bend or stretch, stair climbing Frequently: walking, talking, manual dexterity, required to attend weekly meetings onsite or remotely Continuously: ability to work continuously in a mostly remote work environment, sitting, adequate vision and hearing, good mental condition to withstand consistently medium to high levels of stress Equipment/Tools Used

$77,000 - $82,000/year, DOE Full benefits package to include: medical benefits with SRM paying 85% of the medical premium, voluntary Dental, Vision, Allstate Accident Plan, SRM-paid Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, and AD&D. Also offered are 8 paid holidays, 21 days of accruable PTO, paid “Soul Care Retreat” days (up to 4 depending upon availability), Pay-on-Demand, and a 403b retirement plan with SRM-match after one (1) year, 100% vested beginning DOH; (Benefits are subject to change based on reevaluation or benefit plan changes annually.) Benefits begin at 1st of the following month after completing a full 30 days of employment (I.E. start date 4 January 2025 benefits initiate 1 March 2025) Seniority level
