The Area Gas Engineer position can be hired at the Entry, Staff, Senior, or Principal levels. The successful candidate will be placed at a level commensurate with overall experience, qualifications, and interview results. Position Summary

Viewed as the technical engineer or subject matter expert for the organization in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes for an assigned area of responsibility (e.g., subject matter, function, type of facility, equipment, or product). Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Problems are complex and require innovative approaches and sophisticated research techniques. Responsible for major projects or several complex projects of moderate to large scope. Serves as an organization spokesperson on advanced projects and programs. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Maintains contacts with individuals and units within and outside the organization for action on technical matters. Works under consultative direction toward broad general goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated, with progress checked through consultation and agreement with others rather than formal review by a supervisor. May provide work direction for a team of engineers, technicians, and other professionals as necessary to complete assignments. May lead multiple critical and/or complex projects. Essential Responsibilities

Applies extensive technical expertise and higher-level understanding of related disciplines. Demonstrates unique technical skills and contributes to development of new principles, concepts, and technical standards. As an internal technical SME, conceives plans and conducts research to develop procedures, codes, and standards in problem areas of considerable scope and complexity; supports development of technical documentation through complex studies. Exercises authority and technical leadership on often self-initiated and self-directed assignments with long-term implications to business objectives. May lead multiple critical and/or complex projects including research, design, equipment specification and selection, installation, start-up, commissioning, and evaluation of progress/results. Acts as advisor to management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Manages bid/evaluation processes, including preparation of bid documents, technical evaluations, and recommendations for selection. Serves as organization spokesperson on advanced projects/programs and communicates effectively with internal and external stakeholders. May provide oversight of engineers, interns, craft personnel, technicians, and other professionals. Mentors less experienced engineers for knowledge transfer and skill development. May coordinate processes related to budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting, and work order management in support of current or future projects. Levels and Salary

Entry Engineer Level (Salary Range: $68,300 - $86,500 plus 8% Annual Incentive Plan) Minimum Requirements — Entry Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum. 0+ years relevant engineering experience. Demonstrated unique technical skills and core competencies for this level as established by the organization. Preferred: EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering). Staff Engineer Level (Salary Range: $79,800 - $103,666 plus 8% Annual Incentive Plan) Minimum Requirements — Staff Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum. 2+ years relevant engineering experience. Broad knowledge and proficiency in the specialty area and related disciplines. Ability to demonstrate core competencies for this level as established by the organization. EIT/FE strongly preferred. Senior Engineer Level (Salary Range: $94,600 - $126,134 plus 10% Annual Incentive Plan) Minimum Requirements — Senior Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum. 5+ years relevant engineering experience with EIT/FE required; 7+ years without EIT/FE. Ability to demonstrate core competencies for this level as established by the organization. Preferred PE registration may be required depending on business need. Principal Engineer (Salary Range: $109,300 - $152,766 plus 12% Annual Incentive Plan) Minimum Requirements — Principal Engineer

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from ABET-accredited curriculum. 9+ years relevant engineering experience with PE registration required; 15+ years without PE. Ability to demonstrate core competencies for this level as established by the organization. Company Overview and Benefits
