$96,336.00/yr - $121,413.00/yr Duties Description
ITS will not offer permanent employment to any candidate unless the candidate provides documentation that they are authorized to accept work in the United States on a permanent basis. It is the policy of ITS not to hire F1 or H1 visa holders for permanent employment or to sponsor non-immigrant aliens for temporary work authorization visas or for permanent residence. Fingerprinting and background check are required for employment with ITS. This position will be located in either Albany, NY or New York City. Salary is commensurate with experience. Benefits

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Six (6) years of broad information technology (IT) experience, including software coding and programming languages. Four (4) years of specialized experience in enterprise architecture, software development, or related technical roles. Education/Experience Substitutions Associate’s degree with 15 semester credit hours in computer science or related field substitutes for one year of IT experience. Bachelor’s degree with 15 credits in computer science substitutes for one year of IT experience; or two years for some substitutions as specified. Preferred Qualifications Strong technical background across cloud, microservices, databases, and integration technologies. Experience with SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript, and other languages. Database design and data modeling; knowledge of UML. Experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD; knowledge of design patterns and architectural styles. Experience with content management systems (WordPress, Drupal, etc.) and integration patterns. Strong communication, problem-solving, and regulatory knowledge related to security and compliance. Experience working in cross-functional teams and leading technical discussions. Please Note Appointment to this position and continued employment is contingent upon NY residency within six months of hiring. Appointment is not final until agency approvals are granted. Additional notes: Some positions may require fingerprinting, travel up to 25%, or lifting up to 50 lbs. Some positions are pending Civil Service approval.
