Our team is searching for a Sr Software Engineer to work with other software engineers, network and systems engineers to craft, implement, and deploy software which meets customer requirements, scales easily, removes the limitations of traditional networking solutions, and supports deployment in highly available environments. Our team participates in architecture and design of various software components and is passionate about crafting applications that leverage virtualization, micro services, SDN, NFV, and Big Data platforms and technologies. We work on assignments requiring considerable judgment and initiative, understand implications of work, and make recommendations for solutions. Responsibilities

Drives engineering projects by developing software solutions; conducts tests and inspections; prepares reports and calculations. Expected to supervise base and associate level engineers as needed.

Understands system protocols, how systems operate and data flows. Independently develops a full software stack. Interacts with system engineers to define system requirements for automation.

Contributes to designs to implement new ideas which utilize new frameworks to improve an existing or new system/process/service.

Reviews existing designs and processes to highlight more efficient ways to complete workload and stay aligned with industry perspectives.

Collaborates with technical teams and utilizes system expertise to deliver technical solutions. Mentors others and supports learning sessions.

Contributes to technology strategy and evaluates options that support business goals.

Documents technology solutions and creates clear documentation for new code and systems used.

Qualifications

Education:

PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:

Master's degree in information systems and management, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology and Communications Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related, and 3 years of relevant work experience.

ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in information systems and management, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology and Communications Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Science or related, and 5 years of relevant work experience.

Work Experience: 4-7 years technical engineering experience (Required).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Compensation domain experience required (4-6 years preferred).

Proven programming experience: Shell scripting and SQL (T-SQL, PLSQL) for scalable database applications.

Experience in testing, quality and change management methodologies.

Relational database design and support for on-prem and cloud services (Oracle, MS SQL, RDS).

ETL methodologies and tools (PowerCenter).

Experience coding in a DevOps environment within a SCRUM framework to enable CI/CD for market growth.

Other:

Proficiency in building software that operates at scale; ability to work in a collaborative, agile environment.

Compensation and Benefits Base Pay Range: $113,600 - $205,000 Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. Actual pay will be based on location, qualifications, and experience.
