Role Summary
You will build partnerships with leading AI tool vendors and enable their capabilities for Capital One associates. You will shepherd vendor capabilities from idea to enterprise-scale platform by understanding business and user needs, evaluating best-in-class third-party products, guiding due diligence and onboarding, and integrating vendors into platform experiences. The ideal candidate is passionate about AI technology, empathizes with engineers and data scientists, and stays current with modern data and modeling tools. They communicate effectively with software engineering and data science teams as well as non-technical stakeholders and senior leaders. Product management requires a holistic approach to creating value through human-centered design, deep understanding of business needs, and leadership to foster innovation and drive better customer experiences. Responsibilities
Cultivate a thorough understanding of the Generative AI problem space and the enterprise landscape by working with customers and partners across product, tech, architecture, and risk to inform strategy, prioritization, and requirements. Develop and communicate a compelling vision through concise presentations, documents, and demos of your developer experience, tailored to audiences ranging from technical users to internal and customer leadership teams. Make trade-off and prioritization decisions by working backwards from customer needs and quantifying the value of recommendations. Build and maintain partnerships with peers, customers, and stakeholders to enable collaboration toward shared goals, using influence to improve the enterprise ecosystem. Invest in support, training, and documentation that enable self-service adoption for customers and effective collaboration with partners. Manage day-to-day execution across multiple tech teams, influencing roadmaps to deliver results for target users. Collect and analyze data to track progress, quantify impact, and inform decisions. Basic Qualifications
At least 3 years of experience in Product Management Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following with an expected degree by start date: Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or related) Master’s Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems or related) or an MBA with a quantitative concentration Preferred Qualifications
Experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer-facing AI products 2+ years in innovative technology environments that use public cloud and open source technologies 2+ years building business-critical AI and Machine Learning products Familiarity with Generative AI, multi-agent systems, AI Safety, AIOps, AI Observability and Governance Experience with vendor evaluations and selection At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries are for applicants hired to work in the listed locations and reflect the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated. Cambridge, MA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Product Management Chicago, IL: $144,000 - $164,400 for Manager, Product Management McLean, VA: $158,400 - $180,800 for Manager, Product Management New York, NY: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Product Management San Francisco, CA: $172,800 - $197,200 for Manager, Product Management Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range for that location, and the actual salary offered will be stated in the offer letter. This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
