What to Expect
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Global Supply Manager to support our development and contract manufacturing partners in the sourcing of automation for end item components manufacturing. This role reports to our Supply Chain Manager and in parallel be an active sourcing resource supporting our various Engineering groups at Tesla.
What You'll Do
Build technical knowledge of manufacturing processes, technology landscape and supply base for end item automation projects
Develop and issue complete RFQ packages to potential suppliers
Validate, analyze, and make sourcing recommendations based on equipment technical specifications for electronic products
Fully support aggressive program and project timelines
Experience with contract framework to mitigate any risk
Support organizational cost management objectives by identifying
Identify, assess and qualify suppliers and drive continuous quality and delivery improvement
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
3-5 years of experience in Sourcing role, preferably for Capital equipment for Manufacturing Automation
Experience developing "should-cost" or parametric models for Capital Equipment
Experience in contract terms negotiation
Demonstrated experience achieving and exceeding cost reduction, aggressive and skilled negotiator
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, with various teams including engineers and supply chain personnel
Team player with strong interpersonal and project management skills

Expected Compensation $82,800 - $151,920/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
