Locum Tenens Gastroenterology Coverage Needed in North Carolina. Begin ASAP - Ongoing. Schedule: Onsite Monday-Friday 8am-5pm; Call coverage 5pm-8am Monday-Friday; Weekend call from Friday 5pm to Monday 8am. All GI procedures available, if needed. Responsibilities
Rounding: assigned and unassigned Scheduled clinical hours plus on-call coverage as defined Intervene or oversee care for GI conditions; not required to manage non-GI medical conditions unless the situation necessitates it Situations requiring on-call locum GI physician: endoscopic procedures, gastrointestinal bleeding, obstructions/perforations, consultations, postoperative complications On-call details: beeper, 1:3 ratio, 15-minute response time, onsite within 30 minutes, call back 20% Not required to remain onsite during call support unless circumstances necessitate hospital presence Accepted call-back situations: consultation for GI bleeding ( EMR systems: Athena and Cerner Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible: BC/BE acceptable; Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology BLS Licensure: North Carolina license Additional Details
