Overview
The Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center is seeking a full time Vascular and Liver Transplant Anesthesiologist to work in the General, Vascular and Transplant (GVT) division, and join the liver transplant anesthesiology team. Ideal candidates will be BC/BE in Anesthesiology and have significant experience and expertise in the field liver transplant anesthesiology.
Responsibilities
Providing clinical care to colorectal, hepatobiliary, endocrine, vascular, urology and transplant patients.
Candidates should have a commitment to research and resident education
The GVT division is nationally recognized for groundbreaking Enhanced Recovery pathways and clinical care to complex patients as well as excellence in clinical research, and education.
The liver transplant team consists of around 10 team members and provides world class care to around 200 liver transplant patients per year with some of the best outcomes in the country.
Division members also have the opportunity to staff the world renowned Preoperative and Surgical Screening (PASS) Clinic.
Duke University Hospital is a Level I trauma center, and home to the Duke Cancer Center and the Duke Transplant Center.
