Overview

The City of Subiaco is a local government municipality on the fringe of the Perth central business district. Subiaco is currently experiencing a renaissance with new restaurants, bars, events, venues and developments indulging locals and visitors alike. The City has a commercial property portfolio which generates secondary income to help support vital City operations and help keep rates low. As well as its commercial tenants, the City also has a number of social and community tenants which make a positive contribution to community amenity and benefit. The City is seeking an enthusiastic and eager-to-learn Property Officer to support the Land and Property team manage the City’s commercial and social tenants and other ancillary matters. Reporting to the Coordinator Land and Property, the role sits within the Commercial Services and Property branch. What we offer

Build and strengthen positive relationships with tenants. Negotiate and procure the preparation of leases, licenses, renewals, extensions, assignments, variations and easements as required from time to time. Perform periodic property inspections. Invoicing, rent reviews and arrears management. Procure the services of sales agents, buyer’s agents, leasing agents, property management agents, lawyers and other specialists as required from time to time. Prepare reports, memorandums, briefing papers, procedures manuals and other documentation as required from time to time. Assist the wider Commercial Services Branch (Capital Projects and Facilities) as reasonably required from time to time. At least 2 years’ prior experience in a property-related role. Ability to be diligent, organised and manage-up. Exceptional customer service and communication skills. Ability to manage a range of stakeholders. Advanced computer skills, in particular with Word and Excel. Strong attention to detail. Takes pride in quality of work. Ability to produce results / outcomes and meet deadlines. Ability to act quickly and decisively, including under pressure. Tertiary or secondary education in a business, law or property-related discipline will also be highly regarded. Salary

In line with the City of Subiaco Inside Staff Industrial Agreement 2025, this position is classified as a Level 5. The salary range is $86,452.08 to $96,200.00 per annum, exclusive of superannuation. Application process
