Explain procedures to patients and answer questions Position patients appropriately for imaging procedures Maintain and ensure proper functioning of medical imaging equipment and prepare the procedure room for safety and efficiency Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust as needed for diagnostic accuracy Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures Practice infection prevention, including hand hygiene and use of PPE Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Mammography Technologists Qualifications
Required: One year's experience as a Mammography Tech Current state license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Current ARRT Certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary
The Mammography Technologist implements physician orders and assists with breast imaging procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. They perform screenings and diagnostic imaging, ensure accurate imaging, maintain radiation safety standards, and provide compassionate patient care. They collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to prioritize patient safety and quality imaging. Essential Work Functions
