Location: Facility in San Francisco, CA Estimated compensation is provided by Fusion Medical Staffing after discussion with your recruiter. Required Qualifications
One year\'s experience as a Mammography Tech Current state license in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications
Current ARRT Certification Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position Summary
The Mammography Technologist implements orders from physicians and assists with procedures to help diagnose and treat breast disease. They perform screenings and diagnostic imaging procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment, ensure accurate imaging, maintain radiation safety standards, and provide compassionate patient care. They collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to prioritize patient safety and high-quality imaging practices. Essential Work Functions
Explain procedures to patients and answer questions Position patients appropriately for imaging procedures Maintain imaging equipment, ensure machines are functioning, and prepare the procedure room for safety and efficiency Monitor image quality during procedures and adjust to achieve diagnostic accuracy Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams as needed Follow hospital policies, safety regulations, and infection control procedures Practice infection prevention, including hand hygiene, PPE use, and isolation precautions Perform other duties as assigned within the Mammography Technologist scope of practice Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) Ability to read and follow written/verbal instructions; PC skills Physical ability to stand, move equipment (up to 100 lbs), push/pull, bend Positive attitude and professionalism when working with diverse teams Technical/motor skills for handling equipment Mental ability to cope with high-demand environments and deadlines; occasional supervision and flexible schedules Visual acuity and effective communication skills Benefits
