Specialists provide in-depth clinical evaluation, diagnostic testing and ongoing treatment for pediatric patients who have chronic pulmonary problems such as asthma and cystic fibrosis. The care of pulmonary patients is complex and multifaceted, and the staff and faculty train medical students and residents to work closely with primary care physicians who will address day-to-day health needs, while a specialty team addresses the unique needs of children with lung problems.
