Amazon
Sr. Solutions Architect, National Security Solutions Architecture Team
Amazon, Herndon, Virginia, United States, 22070
Sr. Solutions Architect, National Security Solutions Architecture Team
AWS is seeking a Solutions Architect to support Intelligence Community customers in the Washington DC area.
As a Solutions Architect on AWS National Security Team, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor to AWS customers in the Intelligence Community. You will engage on a broad variety of technical challenges which are mission-critical. This is a high-visibility role where you collaborate with, and influence, both external stakeholders and internal AWS teams including sales and platform engineering. National Security Solutions Architects (SAs) are technical thought leaders who evangelize emerging technologies on both conceptual and architectural levels.
Our SAs have played a critical role in the adoption and advancement of cloud computing within the Intelligence Community. They deliver solutions that are cost-effective, time-saving, and secure, thinking outside the box to meet customer needs. You will work backwards from customers’ requirements to envision new solutions and strategies, delivering offerings at scale with National Security implications. You may innovate by enhancing existing AWS service features or creating new tools to fit cleared environments.
AWS is looking for experienced technologists who align with our Leadership Principles and balance technical depth with strong interpersonal skills. You will partner with customers, AWS Sales, and other AWS teams to craft scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures that address Intelligence Community business problems and accelerate AWS adoption.
In collaboration with sales, you will drive revenue growth across a broad set of customers. You will help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions and how to migrate workloads to the cloud. You will help shape and execute strategies to build mindshare and broad use of AWS within the Intelligence Community.
The ideal candidate is self-motivated with a proven track record in software/technology sales engineering or consulting. The ability to connect technology with measurable business value is critical. You should also demonstrate the ability to think strategically about business, products, and technical challenges.
This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and the candidate must opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which AWS work is performed.
