Founded in 1894, YWCA GLA’s mission is the elimination of racism and empowering women. YWCA GLA provides services through equity program pillars including Early Care and Education, Senior Engagement Services and Sexual Assault Crisis Services, in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The YWCA GLA is the owner and operator of seven Empowerment Centers throughout LA County. YWCA Greater Los Angeles (GLA) is looking for an experienced, strategic, and passionate Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead our fundraising efforts and secure transformational investments that support equity, justice, and empowerment for women and communities across LA. As a member of our Executive Leadership Team, the CDO will drive our revenue strategy, expand philanthropic partnerships, and lead a talented development team to advance the goals of our 2024–2029 Strategic Plan. Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising plan aligned with organizational priorities Secure major gifts ($250K–$1M+), foundation and corporate grants, and high-impact annual gifts Lead our new signature event, YHER (Honor, Elevate, Respect), and other donor-focused experiences Expand the Justice For Her Giving Circle to 100+ annual contributors Oversee all aspects of grants management, donor relations, and stewardship Build and coach a high-performing fundraising team Partner with the CEO and Board to deepen donor relationships and drive transformational giving Qualifications

We're Looking For: 10+ years of progressive nonprofit fundraising leadership Proven success in securing major gifts and managing complex fundraising strategies Expertise in grant writing and donor engagement A strategic, data-informed mindset Commitment to social justice, equity, and the YWCA mission
