Role Overview
As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you will help Company evaluate and improve supplier component quality of high precision, machined parts. You will provide the following services within the PMTC organization of Company: Coordinate supplier quality resolution activities to support production quality issues or Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on part failures. Maintain successful relationships with suppliers, mechanical standards lab, and process engineering. Assist in the development and implementation of supplier management programs. Oversee the qualification of new parts at suppliers. Ensure compliance with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) regulations. Manage the qualification of new suppliers. Requirements
Bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or other related science discipline. Minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience with the following: Fabrication techniques for mechanical parts - high precision machining (CNC milling & turning), assembly, and finishing. Experience and ability to utilize and interpret 2D & 3D CAD data effectively. Understanding of GD&T. Familiarity with mechanical design practices, techniques, and tradeoffs. Excellent team working ability, self-motivation, innovation, and individual contribution. Experience interfacing with suppliers. Additional Preferred Skills
Demonstrable project management and communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office Tools. Ability to effectively multi-task multiple designs. Ability to effectively communicate with cross-functional department representatives (Planning, Procurement, R&D Engineering). Ability to adhere to schedules and department policies.
