Base pay range $250,000.00/yr - $300,000.00/yr Remote – HQ in Delaware $250,000 - $300,000 + bonus + equity THE COMPANY Harnham is partnering with a well-established retail company that is seeking a thoughtful and visionary Head of AI Architecture. In this role, you will champion the organization’s data GenAI, LLM and Machine Learning transformation, shaping how data empowers decision-making across the business. You’ll thrive in a dynamic environment where your leadership will inspire innovation and collaboration. Responsibilities
Guide the company’s LLM and GenAI initiatives, fostering efficiency, automation, and sustainable growth. Work closely with both technical and non-technical teams to design and implement data pipelines that ensure reliable, accessible data for advanced analytics. Partner with executive leadership to share clear, actionable insights that influence strategic decisions. Lead both customer-facing and enterprise-wide optimization initiatives with a focus on long-term value creation. Develop a holistic data strategy that makes the most of decades of organizational knowledge. Build, mentor, and empower a machine learning & engineering team to reach their full potential. Skills and Experience
Proven experience leading large-scale data science transformation projects in retail, supply chain, logistics, or similar industries. Background in building teams from the ground up or successfully scaling existing groups. Ability to collaborate effectively with senior executives and foster trust-based partnerships. Technical expertise architecting machine learning, LLM and deep learning platforms preferred. Understanding of MLOps practices for enterprise systems. Experience working with operational systems to uncover key data opportunities for analytics. Skilled in developing and implementing data strategies and roadmaps that align with organizational priorities. Demonstrated inclusive and supportive leadership style, with experience guiding cross-functional teams. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with a talent for making complex ideas accessible to all audiences. Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred. Benefits
