Prepare and review federal, state, and local income/franchise tax returns, extensions, and estimated payments. Assist with quarterly and annual income tax provisions in accordance with ASC 740. Conduct tax research and provide guidance on the tax implications of business transactions. Support audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities. Maintain and reconcile tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Identify opportunities for process efficiencies and improvements in tax reporting. Partner with cross-functional teams (finance, accounting, legal) to support business operations and special projects. Stay current with tax law changes and assess impacts to the company. Mentor junior staff and provide technical tax guidance as needed. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s in Taxation a plus. CPA license (or CPA eligibility) strongly preferred. 3–5+ years of progressive tax experience, ideally with a mix of public accounting and corporate tax. Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations; experience with ASC 740 preferred. Proficiency with tax preparation and research software (e.g., Onesource, Corptax, CCH, RIA). Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under deadlines. Employment details
