Overview

This Treasury Analyst FA2 role is with Stanford University in the Financial Management Services (FMS) within Business Affairs. The Treasury Analyst position reports to the Treasury Manager in the Office of the Treasurer and supports the University’s daily cash management and treasury operations. The role includes ownership of the Treasury Management Workstation functions, maintaining cash worksheets, process documentation, and current bank information. The incumbent will work with internal and external colleagues and consultants to implement and test automation and ongoing treasury process solutions. Job Purpose

Foster daily cash management and operations for the University by handling responsibilities such as annual year-end close and audit support, FBAR reporting, assisting with the foreign exchange hedging program, maintaining banking structure and bank account analyses, and developing, updating, and maintaining databases, management reports, and liquidity models. Evaluate, test, and implement business process improvements. CORE DUTIES

Perform and design ad hoc analyses of large complex data sets; reconcile complex accounts and identify and resolve issues spanning multiple areas. Conduct analysis and resolution of issues; participate in developing solutions that may require policy changes or new processes; maintain a broader organizational perspective in decision making. Execute internal control programs, research new regulations, and recommend and implement changes; may manage compliance programs and create complex compliance reports. Develop reports and presentations of complex financial data and metrics for management and third parties. Participate as a project team member; support new initiatives and contribute to decisions on process approach. Contribute to unit and organizational strategy; assist in change management planning and materials as needed. Develop and maintain desktop procedures and process documentation for the Office of the Treasurer’s Cash Operations, including business continuity plans. Define requirements, develop and implement complex test cases, perform system testing, and analyze results. Analyze existing systems and processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Other duties may also be assigned. Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Demonstrated knowledge of financial systems (preferably Oracle ERP); strong internet and computer literacy. Knowledge of GAAP and internal control frameworks. Strong communication skills; ability to prepare materials for and communicate with internal and external audiences. Demonstrated project management skills and ability to contribute to or lead a multi-functional team. Certifications And Licenses

Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) preferred. Physical Requirements
