Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled

Senior Estimator

to join a leading general contractor in the DallasFort Worth area. This role is critical in driving accurate preconstruction services, competitive bids, and cost certainty for a diverse range of projects including commercial, institutional, healthcare, and mixed-use developments. Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation of detailed estimates for ground-up, renovation, and interior finish-out projects across multiple sectors. Manage the full estimating process, including conceptual budgeting, quantity takeoffs, subcontractor solicitation, bid leveling, and final proposal preparation. Collaborate with preconstruction, project management, and field operations teams to ensure alignment between budgets, schedules, and constructability. Build and maintain strong subcontractor and vendor relationships to ensure comprehensive coverage and competitive pricing. Analyze drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to identify risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities. Present estimates and budgets to leadership and clients with clear justifications and recommendations. Mentor junior estimators, providing training and oversight to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and team development. Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 3+ years of estimating experience

with a general contractor, including proven success on projects ranging from

$10M$100M+ . Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, building systems, and current market pricing. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., OST, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar), Excel, and digital takeoff tools. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to produce accurate and detailed estimates under tight deadlines. Strong communication and presentation abilities, with confidence in client-facing settings. Proven leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. What You Get
