The University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria (UICOMP) seeks a physician at the level of Professor, Associate Professor, or Assistant Professor to enhance the clinical program within the Division of Child Development and Rehabilitation. The general pediatrician will work with neurodevelopmental pediatricians, developmental behavioral pediatricians and nurse practitioners to support several comprehensive service lines. Candidates with scholarly and research interests are highly desirable and experience teaching medical students and residents is preferred. Position Summary The pediatrician will support the continued development of several service lines within the Division of Child Development and Rehabilitation and participate in scholarly and teaching activities as appropriate. Duties & Responsibilities Participate in undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs of the Department. Provide outpatient diagnostic and management services for patients with general developmental delay, intellectual disabilities, and autism spectrum disorder. Organize and conduct research programs in developmental behavior pediatrics. Fulfill typical duties of a university faculty member including committee assignments, curriculum development, student counseling, and administration. Help lead quality improvement projects for the division. Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications MD/DO or foreign equivalent Eligible for licensure in Illinois Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics 3 years Residency in Pediatrics Preferred Qualifications Leadership in teaching residents and medical students 3-5 years experience working with infants and children who have or are at risk of neurodevelopmental disability Experience in diagnosing and managing autism spectrum disorder in young children Experience in evaluation and management of infants and children with cerebral palsy About UICOMP and Partners UICOMP is one of the three regional campuses of the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
