Overview
Vice President of Operations at a K–12 food service program. Strategic Planning and Execution: Design and implement long-term and annual operational plans that align with the organization’s goals; monitor and evaluate execution to ensure milestones are achieved. Leadership: Demonstrate critical thinking and people management with emphasis on team development and conflict resolution. Guide decisions with strong communication, problem-solving, and data analysis; lead high-performing teams and allocate resources to balance fast-paced demands with long-term improvements. Innovation and Growth: Identify opportunities for growth, drive innovation in systems and processes, and represent the organization with stakeholders. Board Participation: Actively contribute in board meetings, bringing operational insights to strategic discussions. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality, or related field. At least 10 years of progressive senior-level operations leadership experience in multi-unit food service; preference for candidates with K–12 sector experience. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to evaluate customer needs and financial data, including support for RFPs and proposals. Proven ability to communicate vision, manage change, collaborate across functions, and present effectively at an executive level. Experience in P&L management across multiple sites and ability to identify trends and insights impacting the organization and its customers. Proven leadership in developing, mentoring, and influencing operations teams at all levels. Experience in managing decentralized operations with consistent brand standards across locations; strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and labor compliance. Deep understanding of food service supply chain management, including procurement, vendor relations, logistics, and inventory. Data-driven decision-making with the ability to monitor performance and identify improvement opportunities. Technology proficiency in industry tools; strong skills with Microsoft Office and CRM databases. Details
