Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver a product customers love Leverage a broad stack of technologies - Python, Conda, AWS, H2O, Spark, and more - to reveal insights within large volumes of numeric and textual data Build machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation Translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals The Ideal Candidate is

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, one of the following with an expected degree completion by start date: • A Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field plus 5 years of data analytics experience • A Master’s Degree in a quantitative field or MBA with quantitative concentration plus 3 years of data analytics experience • A PhD in a quantitative field Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in STEM or PhD in STEM At least 1 year of experience with AWS At least 3 years of experience with Python, Scala, or R At least 3 years of experience with machine learning At least 3 years of experience with SQL Capital One will consider sponsoring a new qualified applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Salaries refer to offers for work within a location; actual annual salary will be indicated in the offer letter. This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and may include cash bonuses or long-term incentives, depending on the plan. Chicago, IL: $144,200 - $164,600; McLean, VA: $158,600 - $181,000; New York, NY: $173,000 - $197,400; Richmond, VA: $144,200 - $164,600. Candidates hired in other locations will be paid according to the applicable location’s pay range. This role expects applications for a minimum of 5 business days.
