Overview
NewYork-Presbyterian/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital is looking for a part-time Board Eligible/Board Certified Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist. The part-time schedule will consist of two weekend shifts, with one shift specifically requiring coverage on Sunday nights. Responsibilities
The Consultation-Liaison Psychiatrist will be a key part of a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide high-quality, evidence-based mental health treatments to patients. The service provides psychiatric consultation to the NYP-BMH emergency room and non-psychiatric inpatient units. Under the supervision of the Service Chief for Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, the psychiatrist will primarily be responsible for evaluating patients, assisting primary teams in the development of treatment plans, and providing ongoing care as indicated. The psychiatrist will communicate and collaborate with emergency department, medicine, and surgical colleagues to optimize patient care, and will provide clinical leadership and close collaboration with other roles, including the Nurse Practitioner, as appropriate. The salary range for this position is $165k to $200k. This compensation range does not include our benefits and any incentive payments, based on quality measures and productivity, that may be applicable to this role. Academic Appointment
