Hybrid About The Role You’ll be responsible for two of Cloudflare’s most critical database infrastructure products: Workers KV and Hyperdrive. “KV” is a globally distributed key-value store that enables extremely high read volume workloads and low-latency (sub-10ms) retrievals at millions (and more) of RPS. Hyperdrive is our distributed connection pooler and query caching service that supports querying Postgres and MySQL databases directly from Cloudflare Workers (using any off-the-shelf database driver). It’s a key part of building full-stack applications on Workers and is the foundation of our future transactional database efforts and services. This is a role with high agency and accountability: you’ll be the sole PM for the products you’re responsible for, and you’ll work closely with your peers across the team to ensure we’re shipping great developer experiences and not silos. Drive the strategy, roadmap & ship great products that help developers build reliable, high performance full-stack applications on Cloudflare. Lead projects from ideation through launch, and continuing through ongoing maintenance and support Develop and nurture relationships with engineering and coordinate closely to ensure successful delivery of product features Talk to developers to find the right users to talk to and build a playbook for engagement (community and cohorts, BI insights, developer forums, social channels) Partner with Product Marketing, Marketing, Community & Developer Relations, Sales, and Customer Support to drive adoption and gather feedback Prioritize across a complex environment of diverse customers, stakeholders and objectives Represent the company externally as needed, including meetings with customers and prospects Delve into market research to drive new investment opportunities in the developer space Qualifications & Desirable Skills
You have outstanding communication and collaboration skills and are able to work with a diverse group, get alignment, and drive the product forward. You are execution focused and emphasize getting things done while paying attention to important details. Desire to sweat the details and ship great end-to-end developer experiences. APIs, UIs, docs: all of these are part of the product. Proven track record of shipping developer-facing products from ideation to launch A love for talking to developers at organizations both large and small to build and ship products that solve real problems Demonstrated experience with transactional databases, and a desire to become a domain expert quickly Focus on the developer: you'll be working directly with customers to help them get their initial implementation off the ground BS/MS in a technology field Professional product management experience (3-4 years), founder experience or demonstrated experience on an engineering team shipping user-facing products Strong technical abilities and familiarity with modern software development practices Experience using developer tools and APIs; comfortable with CLI tools Compensation & Equity
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. Bay Area: Estimated annual salary of $166,000 - $224,000 New York City, Washington, D.C., and California (excluding Bay Area): Estimated annual salary of $192,000 - $213,000 Equity This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
