Capital Solutions Analyst**Job Description****:**Advise portfolio managers on the most optimal ways to finance portfolios, recommending and implementing financing and lending strategies to generate cost savings and additional yield. Provide economic transparency through analytics and decision support tools and leverage strategic sell side relationships to innovate and identify unique lending and borrowing opportunities. Help to build and support the function by playing a key role in sourcing, analyzing, and identifying optimization opportunities using financing related data. Lead and contribute to cross functional projects focused on technology and other infrastructure enhancements necessary to establish the function at scale in addition to advising portfolio managers, traders, product managers, operations staff, and clients with respect to financing and yield opportunities. Interact with counterparties, technology providers, portfolio managers, traders, product managers, operations teams, the tax team, and the legal team. Assist the team in advising on methods of implementing financing strategies for various product types and investment styles. Source and analyze internal and external data to gather insights and share recommendations using basic query tools. Build relationships with internal service consumers such as portfolio managers and traders, as well as counterparties such as prime brokers and repo desks to identify firm needs and industry solutions. Develop subject matter knowledge for certain financing related topics, analyze and resolve complex problems, and respond to inquiries in a timely and effective manner. Keep apprised of industry and regulatory developments as they relate to financing, prime brokerage, repo, securities lending, bank balance sheet and regulatory sensitivities, collateral, and technology. Lead and contribute to strategic projects and opportunistic solutions by working with other Wellington teams including Portfolio Management, Trading, Product Management, Operations, Legal & Compliance, and Tax. Position is fixed location based in Boston office; however, may be able to work one (1) day a week from home.**Job Requirements****:**Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Mathematics, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of experience working as an analyst, specialist, or related role for an asset manager, hedge fund, investment bank, insurance company, or consulting firm.Must have two (2) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):* Coding in Python* Experience making decisions with limited data availability and presenting results to a broad audience* Supporting both equity and fixed income portfolio managers from an implementation, reporting, or analytics standpoint* Leading teams to drive results in a performance-based environment* Developing business models, go-to market strategies, and financial budgets for projects or proposed ventures* Client service or business development* Facilitating securities financing, collateral optimization, or hedge fundsExperience may be gained before, during or after advanced degree.40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm, Salary: $115,000 – 155,000/year.Application Method: Apply online or Send resume to: GMGlobalMobility@wellington.com (Req. #R92673).Not sure you meet 100% of our
