The Core Engineering team is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager. We operate as a startup within Amazon, providing flexibility in product and technology direction. As a leader on the team, you will be expected to: Grow the team and dive deep into technical details while providing strategic input for the product. Drive strategic planning, project execution, and the ongoing operation and improvement of our products. Develop engineering talent and guide the team to deliver high-quality features at scale. About the team: eero was acquired by Amazon in 2019 and operates as a distributed team with members globally and at the SF HQ. The team has a track record of delivering quality features at scale and has ambitious goals ahead. We are looking for an experienced SDM to lead one of our Cloud development teams and help ship exciting new initiatives. 3+ years of engineering team management experience 7+ years of engineering experience 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experiences Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live-site operations Experience partnering with product or program management teams Preferred Qualifications
