Overview
Nemours Children's Health is seeking an experienced leader to become Chief of Pediatric Nephrology in Jacksonville, Florida.
The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day operations of the Pediatric Nephrology Division and be responsible for the strategic, clinical, educational and research goals of the division. The leader will oversee the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care to children with acute and chronic kidney diseases and provide leadership to a multidisciplinary team. The Chief will also play a key role in mentoring faculty, developing programs and advancing the division's mission.
Responsibilities
Provide expert care for pediatric patients with a full spectrum of nephrology conditions, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, glomerular disorders, dialysis, and kidney transplantation
Lead the nephrology team in delivering coordinated, family-centered care
Maintain an active clinical practice and participate in consultative services
Ensure adherence to best practices, quality, safety, and regulatory standards
Develop staffing plans, manage provider schedules, and support faculty recruitment and retention
Collaborate with hospital administration and other departments on budgeting, clinical program development and resource allocation
Represent the division in hospital and departmental leadership forums

Qualifications
MD or DO
Board certified in specialty
Eligible for unrestricted Florida medical license and DEA
Minimum 5 years of experience
