Overview
Asante is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Primary Care team in Grants Pass, Oregon. The Nurse Practitioner operates as an established medical authority in a collaborative care team with physicians, and the Physician Assistant works under the supervision of the APP Executive Medical Director and designated Family Medicine Physician. Responsibilities
Prepare and record patient history, perform physical examinations, and formulate treatment plans. Participate in management of patient care by facilitating, expediting and coordinating routine diagnostic procedures. Write orders for appropriate medical care and determine needs for consultation. Triages patient calls and returns patient calls in conjunction with the physicians.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program. Licensure: Ability to obtain Nurse Practitioner (NP) license by the Oregon State Board of Nursing (OSBN) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners (OBME) required. Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs. Provider shall meet all qualifications to participate in hospital programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
