Role Description This contract role for an RN - Perfusionist is located on-site in Greenville, SC. The RN - Perfusionist will be responsible for operating extracorporeal circulation equipment during medical procedures. Daily tasks include monitoring patient parameters, adjusting controls to regulate blood flow and composition, and maintaining equipment. The RN - Perfusionist will also collaborate closely with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient care. Equipment experience Must be experienced in all equipment used: Terumo System 1, Quest MPS 2/3 Cardioplegia, HMS, Centrimag, Impella 5.5, Bellmont Hyperthermia Kit, CardioHelp, Sorin perfusion system, Angiovac, CardioQuip HC. Workload and setting Candidate must be able to work 5 days per week with the ability to independently assist ECMO cannulation in adult and pediatric patients. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Perfusion and be comfortable operating in fast-paced emergent cardiac cases. ECMO transport is a MUST. Responsibilities
Operate extracorporeal circulation equipment during medical procedures. Monitor patient parameters and adjust equipment settings to regulate blood flow and composition. Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure optimal patient care. Provide ECMO cannulation assistance for adult and pediatric patients as needed. Maintain and troubleshoot perfusion equipment to ensure readiness and safety. Qualifications
Must have Clinical Perfusionist (ABCP) credential. Must have experience in Trauma Level 1 and teaching hospital environments. Certified and Licensed RN and Perfusionist. Experience operating extracorporeal circulation equipment. Ability to monitor patient parameters and adjust equipment settings. Strong understanding of cardiovascular and respiratory systems. Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with medical professionals. Detail-oriented with a robust focus on patient safety and care. Ability to work under pressure in a clinical setting. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Perfusion Technology, or a related field. Seniority level
