School of Medicine The Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at Stanford University seeks a physician scientist with expertise in pediatric cardiology to join the Division as an Assistant Professor in the University Medical Line or University Tenure Line.
Responsibilities
The appointment will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate and will align with either the University Tenure Line or University Medical Line. The Tenure Line emphasizes a major commitment to research and teaching.
The Medical Line emphasizes excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service appropriate to programmatic needs.
Establish and maintain a high-quality, independent research program (laboratory-based and/or patient-based) focused on congenital cardiovascular diseases in children, with a track record of or potential for outstanding mentorship and teaching.
Preference will be given to candidates who have acquired extramural, peer-reviewed, national research funding.
Qualifications
MD or MD and PhD degrees, or equivalent.
Clinical training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology (completed fellowship) and board eligible or board certified.
Training and experience in pediatric cardiovascular research.
Demonstrated outstanding, or promise of outstanding, laboratory-based and/or patient-based investigative experience studying congenital cardiovascular diseases in children.
Annual base pay range (Assistant Professor): $291K - $345K. This pay range reflects base pay and does not include all components of the School of Medicine’s faculty compensation program or pay from participation in departmental incentive programs. Final pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, rank, and other factors.
