Description
We are currently seeking MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Cardiac Anesthesiology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing anesthesia care for patients undergoing cardiac surgeries. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients during these critical procedures. You will be involved in a variety of cardiac cases, including bypass surgeries, valve replacements, and heart transplants, making a significant impact on the well-being of individuals with heart conditions. Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during cardiac surgeries. Manage patients\' vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Provide post-anesthesia care and pain management for cardiac surgery patients. Respond promptly to any anesthesia-related complications during procedures. Participate in pre-operative assessments and develop anesthesia plans. Stay updated on advancements in cardiac anesthesia techniques and technologies. Ensure compliance with all relevant medical and safety protocols. Requirements
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree. Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology. Valid state medical license to practice. Strong knowledge of cardiac anesthesia procedures and medications. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities. Commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Schedule & Logistics
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-4p. Call Requirement: Beeper call 1 day per week, 1 weekend per month. Will cover multiple facilities on a main campus. Case Volume: Over 1,000 total cardiac surgical cases per year. Cases: 100% cardiothoracic anesthesia for minimally invasive valve repair/replacement, CABG, adult congenital procedures, aortic reconstruction, and other major vascular cases. Full subspecialty support. Will work with residents, fellows, and SRNAs/CRNAs. Supervision model. EMR: Cerner & Epic. Certifications
