Business Development Manager - Controls & Automation Job Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and revenue of our SaaS products and service products. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, strong leadership skills, and the ability to develop and execute strategic plans to expand our market presence. The successful candidate will work on a variety of high-profile projects, facilitate the go-to-market strategy for services and the SaaS product, have daily interaction with customers and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the power generation industry Build and nurture relationships with key clients and stakeholders Own, develop and implement the sales strategy in collaboration with marketing Collaborate with Product Manager to develop sales and customer growth strategy Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine offerings and align strategies and integrate initiatives into business strategies Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategies Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients Negotiate and close high-value deals Monitor and report on sales performance and market feedback Own, develop and implement the CRM system in collaboration with identified stakeholders Job Requirements
Self-starter required (demonstrated through references). CRM experience required. 5+ years of experience in business development or sales, preferably in the heavy industrial space. In-depth knowledge of the Gas Turbine business: 5+ years of experience (preferred). Understanding of power distribution systems and/or heavy industrial equipment (preferred). Knowledge of Automation Systems (preferred). Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for delivering high-quality software applications. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external customers. Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to the evolving needs of the role and organization. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in task execution. Clear and concise communication skills, both orally and in writing. Enthusiasm and willingness to work in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment in-office. Some travel may be required for sales opportunities and client visits. Education Requirements
