Job Details As a Permanent Audit Senior Manager in Assurance & Advisory for State and Local Government, you will play a key role in our dynamic team. You will provide strategic oversight and guidance to our audit team, ensuring high-quality audit and advisory services for state and local government clients. You will help foster client relationships, support business growth, and uphold our reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
Lead and manage multiple audit engagements to deliver quality audit and advisory services to state and local government clients.
Provide technical expertise on GASB, GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS/Yellowbook standards, ensuring compliance and consistency across engagements.
Develop and implement audit strategies and plans aligned with client needs and objectives.
Review and approve audit reports, providing constructive feedback to staff.
Foster strong client relationships and offer expert guidance on complex accounting and financial matters.
Collaborate with partners and senior leadership to identify business development opportunities.
Stay current on changes in accounting and auditing standards and regulations to keep practices compliant.
Mentor and develop audit staff, promoting learning and excellence.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA designation is highly preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience, focusing on state and local government clients.
Comprehensive knowledge of GASB, GAAP, GAAS, GAGAS, and Yellowbook standards.
Proven experience auditing in California and Oregon.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring audit teams.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to tackle complex accounting issues.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex information to clients and teams.
Commitment to delivering high-quality service to clients.
