Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of
Assistant or Associate Professor
in
Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) . The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative team dedicated to excellence in veterinary education, clinical service, and research. This is an in-person role located on the Caribbean island of St. Kitts. Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality lectures and hands-on laboratory instruction in Emergency and Critical Care to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) students. Supervise and mentor students during clinical rotations and practical sessions. Provide clinical consultation and case management in the First Opinion Small Animal Clinic, including after-hours emergency coverage on a rotating basis. Contribute to curriculum development and continuous improvement of ECC teaching materials and methods. Engage in scholarly activities, including research, publication, and continuing education. Participate in faculty committees, accreditation processes, and other academic service roles. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment for a diverse student body. Qualifications
Required: Willigness to reside in St Kitts on a full-time basis (relocation provided). DVM or equivalent veterinary degree. Completion of a residency in Emergency and Critical Care or board certification (ACVECC, ECVECC, or equivalent). Demonstrated experience in clinical teaching and case management in ECC. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Preferred: Prior academic teaching experience at the university level. A record of scholarly activity or interest in research. Experience working in multicultural or international environments. Benefits
