Monroe County seeks a licensed MD/DO to serve as EMS Medical Director, providing clinical oversight, developing treatment protocols, and leading emergency response innovation across all EMS services. This critical role offers the chance to shape care standards, support specialized response teams, and drive system-wide quality improvement. Key Highlights
Lead clinical direction for EMS, dispatch, and specialty units. Develop/maintain protocols per SEMAC, REMAC & national standards. Provide 24/7 on-call support & real-time scene response. Oversee QA for dispatch & EMS education programs. Collaborate with hospitals, EMS agencies, & public health officials. Minimum 40 hrs/month of active ED clinical work required. Qualifications
Active NYS
Medical License
+ Driver’s License. Board-certified physician with
prehospital care experience . Familiarity with EMS systems, mass casualty, and disaster planning. Completion of NIMS 100/200/300/400 (or within 1 year). Why Join?
